In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Add eggs, melted butter chocolate, and vanilla extract and beat until smooth with hand beater. Add hot coffee and mix well with a rubber spatula.
Pour the mixture into the baking dish and bake for 30-40 mins until risen and firm to the touch until knife or toothpick inserted center and comes out clean with few moist crumbs. Put aside 30mins to cool.
In the other bowl, beat unsalted butter with icing sugar and add 2tbs milk until it looks like whipped smooth cream and spread over the cake or decorate as u like. you can decorate by using a piping bag.

Ingredients
2 cups Flour
¾ cup cocoa powder
2 Tbsp dark chocolate, broken into pieces and melted
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
3 eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
1 Tsp Baking powder
1 Tsp Baking soda
1 cup granulated sugar
Pinch of salt
- For Butter Cream
Icing sugar filtered
Unsalted Butter
2 Tbsp Milk
Directions
- Heat oven to 180 degree. Brush Oil and dust flour the base of the baking dish.
- In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add eggs, melted butter chocolate and vanilla extract and beat until smooth with hand beater. Add hot coffee and mix well with rubber spatula.
- Pour the mixture into the baking dish and bake for 30-40 mins until risen and firm to the touch until knife or toothpick inserted center and comes out clean with few moist crumbs. Put aside 30mins to cool.
- In a separte bowl, beat unsalted butter with icing sugar and add 2tbs milk untill it looks like wipped smooth cream and spread over the cake.
Notes
- Since the cake is so fudgy, it’s sensitive so handle delicately. Don’t try to remove the base untill it’s completly cool.
- A touch of coffee brings out the chocolate flavour but doesn’t make the cake taste like coffee. It will increase the taste of cake.
